ENW#Δ- Virus //
Boundary of Life
Originating from a custom-built website, this is a non-malicious virus designed to mimic biological processes of life, decay, and extinction. Living in the liminal space between code and organism, the project challenges scientific, philosophical, and cultural definitions of life.
Once downloaded, the virus spawns on one of the screens and becomes part of a shared digital ecosystem. Each instance is alive for a limited period; its birth and death tracked in real time. Visitors are invited to interact with their virus by watching it shift, respond, and eventually die.
It’s an invitation to reflect on life, death, and care in the digital age, and to rethink our frameworks for understanding emerging technological entities. Rather than forcing the virus to fit into existing biological or technological categories, it is proposed as part of a new, emerging category, one that better captures the complexities of digital beings in an age of rapid technological change.
