Leaves Fall
in Silence

ywen.w

When attempting to explore the essence of existence, the concepts of “eternity” and “the moment” often appear in a seemingly opposing relationship. Eternity is invariably imbued with an aura of solemnity and sanctity, used to define the existence of a certain spirit, ideology, or belief, as if they could transcend the constraints of time. Consequently, the fleeting and transient nature of moments often seems trivial and insignificant by comparison. Yet, what is frequently overlooked is that eternity does not exist as an isolated entity but is instead composed of countless ephemeral occurrences. The swaying of branches in the wind, the trajectory of a falling leaf, the emergence and disappearance of leaf veins in the soil—these ordinary scenes of life encapsulate the essence of time. It is through the observation and contemplation of these minute moments that one perceives the passage of time, striving to touch the edges of eternity and discover meaning therein.
