Scrap Philosophy
My project explores sustainable alternative materials to address waste from mass consumerism. As our economy grows, so does waste, yet solutions for processing this waste are insufficient for future generations.
I have collaborated with a designer who creates furniture from local wooden scraps. This experience taught me to transform scrap wood into furniture that anyone can build, highlighting the environmental benefits of supporting small businesses. This philosophy promotes sustainability and offers flexibility in design and cost.
Working with Tim in his studio provided valuable insights into reusing scrap materials and reducing waste in furniture production.
