Endless Escalator
My project explores the politics and aesthetics of mass-produced urban spaces. It focuses on transit spaces like escalator tunnels and hallways in public transportation. These spaces, shaped by standardized systems, offer efficiency and order - but can also feel alienating. Through 3D renditions and Virtual Reality, I recreate these environments to question their role in everyday life. By emphasizing their texture, repetition, and scale, I treat these so-called “non-spaces” as active forces that quietly choreograph how we move and interact. The project experiments on digital experience by inviting users to reflect on infrastructures that silently shape urban life.
