Let The Jewlery Touch  You

While jewellery is often admired visually—through its glint and sparkle—it is also meant to be felt. Draped against the skin, it holds more than just beauty: it carries weight, warmth, texture, and even the faint sound of movement. These subtle sensations, often overlooked, are what give jewellery its presence—its life.
Let the Jewellery Touch You is a tactile exploration of this quiet, embodied connection. Working directly with my hands, I allowed material to lead: soft wool, sticky glue, brittle peel, dense metal. Each one responded differently to pressure, warmth, and time. Rather than beginning with sketches, I started with sensation—asking not how does this look, but how does this feel?
Through touch, the pieces began to take shape—not as adornments, but as companions to the body. Some embrace it gently, others resist or weigh it down. Each invites the wearer to slow down, to notice: the brushing of fibers, the shifting of weight, the press of form against skin.
This is jewellery as a quiet dialogue—not only seen, but sensed. A whisper between body and material, where meaning is carried not in sparkle, but in sensation.
