A Lens through London Nightlife

Moving from Exeter to London on my own was a real shock. The contrast hit me mentally. But over time through house parties, community nights, and familiar faces. I started to build my own version of home here. I found people. That’s when nightlife stopped being just about going out and became something deeper: a space for connection.
I started this project because I was searching for a sense of community. Nightlife in London is like none other in the UK. Expensive bars, packed clubs, but also the raw energy of house parties and community spots where real connection thrives. In a city that can feel incredibly lonely, which I learnt the hard way, I’ve come to realise the value of belonging. With this project, I wanted to capture those fleeting moments where people feel seen, safe, and part of something. For me, It’s about building community in the chaos of it all, whether it’s music, style, or shared experiences that join us together, even if just for one night.
My three outcomes are a photo book, a timeline wall, and a short film. The book will be available to buy at the show, or message me on Instagram to get a copy.
