In Process, Not In Resolution

This project investigates post-graduation economic possibilities by exploring the material, ethical, and labor dimensions embedded in the making of a single object: the crossbody bag.
Using a universal blueprint to keep physical consistency, each bag reflects subtle differences, exposing the conditions in which they were made, manifesting material differences, visible or latent, that speak to the often invisible narratives of production.
By intentionally showing the often invisible work load and conditions that go into creating these objects, which are typically reduced to stock on shelves or rails; this work challenges the rigid and empty notion of ‘cost’ in production/consumption- something often seen to be intangible.
When seen as a collection, each object contributes to a tactile network of difference amplifying the consumer choice.
