Frills, Filth and the Femme Fool
She stumbles wearing heels and has remnants of red Revlon lipstick on her teeth, the smell of Lucky Strike cigarettes clings to her ruff.
A celebration- a performance of a woman we know, or maybe even are. Tattoos, a cigarette held between every finger and life as her stage. Using the classic clown tropes to articulate my view on being an imperfect woman. Using a playful juxtaposition of chaos, charm and traditional clown tropes explored through costume. This project questions the role of a woman in this world whilst revelling in the divine mess that is being one.
